The Samyang 24mm T1.5 VDSLR ED AS IF UMCCinema Video lens was developed primarily for film and video applications. The 24mm lens cinema version of Samyang features industry standard is prepared for focus ring and aperture, and the aperture ring has been "declicked" for smooth iris jerks. Aperture and focus scales have also been put back next to the lens, where it is easier for focus extractors to read them. The 24mm Samyang cinema lens is compatible with full-frame sensors. APS-C sensors with a crop factor of 1.5 will exhibit an angle view of 35mm equivalent to about 36mm. The optical construction consists of 13 lens elements arranged in 12 groups. Four elements are low dispersion crystal (ED), plus two aspherical elements. Features 24mm Ultra Multi Coated (UMC), multi-coated lenses to improve light transmission and resistance to ghosting and flares.
