  • New SLR LEICA system for professional photographers.
  • Combination of high image quality with medium format sensor (larger than the full format 24x36) and ease of use and ergonomics of a 35 mm SLR.
  • Robust and reliable; camera and lenses resistant to environmental inclement weather (rain, dust).
  • New system of S lenses with high optical performance.
  • Initially, four lenses: standard LEICA SUMMARIT-S 70 mm f/2.5 ASPH and the telephoto LEICA APO-TELE-ELMAR-S 180 mm f/3.5 initially. LEICA APO-MACRO-SUMMARIT-S 120 mm f/2.5 as a solution for approach and portrait photography and the wide-angle LEICA SUMMARIT-S 35 mm f/2.5 ASPH for the future.
