The CANON Macro 60mm Denta is a prime telephoto lens and the first true macro lens in its EF-S series, made specifically for "APS-C" format SLR CANON cameras. It produces 1:1 magnification for highly detailed close-up images and with a 35mm focal length equivalent of 96mm, it is also ideal for medium telephoto applications, including portrait. Its maximum aperture of f/2.8 is effective in low-light conditions and offers shallow depth of field control.

Autofocus is achieved with CANON best type ultrasonic ring (USM) motor, which is fast and quiet and allows you to manually override focus at any time without having to change the camera's focus mode settings. The field of attention is focused flat, important in macro work, and the circular aperture diaphragm to allow for more natural background outstanding.

An internal focusing system prevents lens extension", while focusing and one of three groups of floating elements results in excellent lens design of excellent delineation at all macro life-size focusing distances to infinity. Coating of CANON Super Spectra lenses suppress ghosting and glare and an optional lens hood (ET-67B) further reduces the incidence of flare.
