With high mobility thanks to the ultra-compact size and lightweight body, this lens offers a versatile zoom range of 14-42mm (35mm camera equivalent: 28-84mm) suitable for a wide range of scenes from landscapes to portraits. The lens system offers excellent contrast in zoom spurt and the inclusion of an aspherical lens improves optical performance by minimizing distortion, even at the end of the 28mm width.

The lens incorporates PANASONIC MEGA O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer), which allows you to make totally sharp shots even in low light situations by suppressing the blur caused by a hand tremor.

When the lens is mounted on LUMIX G Micro System cameras, the contrast AF system and its functions can be used and taken advantage of.

The standard Micro Four Thirds system has managed to achieve a compact size and a lightweight body. Its extremely compact size and optical performance are no problem for the lens to carry out all the capabilities of the 4/3 image sensor and achieve a smooth Live View in excellent combination with the camera body. It allows a variety of unique features, such as the contrast AF function of the LUMIX G Micro System cameras.

With its minimum focusing distance of 30cm to maximum zoom, this lens offers a maximum photographic magnification of 0.32x (equivalent to 35mm). Seven aperture blades make up a circular aperture diaphragm and produce smoothness outside of its focus areas, even shooting at full aperture. The lens system uses multi-coated lenses to reduce shadows and reflections to a minimum, helping to deliver high optical performance.
