The AF NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8D NIKON Lens is a supremely lightweight lens that offers an f/1.8 maximum aperture for effective low light shooting and depth of field control. A focal length of 50 mm on FX format cameras, provides an equivalence of 75 mm focal length when used in DX format of NIKON DSLRs.

An integrated aperture control ring allows manual exposure control, in addition to AE control through the camera body.
