GITZO GT2531EX Explorer, a versatile stand that opens up new shooting perspectives. Thanks to its unconventional design, the legs can be adjusted to any angle and moved independently, while the central column tilts and rotates freely to any position.
This tripod incorporates many new ideas into the tripod design and offers extreme flexibility. It features individual leg lock that can be fixed at any angle from 0° to 90° and a column that will tilt vertically, beyond the right over the horizontal and lock firmly at any angle.
The GT2531EX is especially ideal for outdoor macro photography and nature, when used with digital SLR cameras with 200mm lenses (up to a maximum of 300mm), lightweight video cameras, or telescopes. It offers an excellent load capacity rating of 26.4 lb (12 kg) and good torsional resistance.
- Anti-rotation of the system leg (ALR)
- The anti-rotation leg system (ALR) makes it quick and easy to open and close the tripod. Simply turn all the locking rings at once and the entire leg can be removed in a matter of seconds.
- Column locking system
- The scanner is equipped with a column that can be tilted relative to the vertical, beyond the horizontal and securely locked at any angle.
- G-Lock Design
- The G-Lock mechanism has been completely redesigned in order to achieve a 20% increase in stiffness, faster and stronger operation, safer locking. The special design of G-Lock also provides a "gravity lock" effect: the higher the load applied vertically to the leg, the stronger the lock.
- Redesigned superior Discos & Bolts
- This tripod features completely redesigned top discs and screws. The discs, which are composed of aluminum, feature a safety locking material that reduces vibrations and improves head lock. The improved high-quality stainless steel bolt design prevents it from falling into the column when adjusted, and makes the tread length control stress-free. The newly designed bolts are also corrosion and resistant to oxidation.
