Gitzo Systematic GT5562GTS

The GT5562GTS Systematic is the tallest tripod in the GITZO. Like all top-of-the-range Systematic tripods, it is modular, with a flat center disc that can be swapped for center columns, leveling bases and other components. Leg tubes are 6X carbon fiber with efficient G-locks GITZO. The GT5562GTS sits at 5 tripod GITZO Series designed not only for height, but also for torsional strength and stiffness under extreme loads of up to 40 kg (88lb) and with lenses up to 800 mm. With 6 section legs fully open, the overload level is reached, even without the use of a central column, but it can also splash closely at ground level thanks to its independent leg angle adjustments. For such a tall tripod, it is light weight and compact when folded.

G-Lock

G-Lock is the new locking leg system GITZO. The locking mechanism has been completely redesigned in order to achieve a 20% increase in stiffness, faster and stronger, safer operation of locking. G-Lock's special design also provides a 'gravity lock' effect: the higher the load applied vertically to the leg, the stronger the lock.

This built-in accessory allows you to hang a stabilization weight (for example, a full camera bag or a sand/water bag) from the bottom of the central column of the tripod. Useful with heavy/long lenses, on uneven terrain or in windy conditions.

All Parasols in Series 1 and superior are provided with removable rubber legs. This feature allows you to easily change used out rubber legs or to fit other accessories, such as spike feet or snowshoes/sand. We have introduced a new anti-rotation leg system, which means that the tripod can be opened in less than 15 seconds. Simply loosen all the torsion closures on each leg at the same time, then pull the leg down and tighten the locks individually.
