The GM3551 Carbon 6X GITZO monopod is a 5-section 3 series monopod, weighing less than 620 grams, which can support cameras up to 18 kilograms. This monopod also incorporates GITZO's revolutionary 6X tube technology, reducing the weight of the monopod by up to 25% without sacrificing strength or stability.

The G-Lock mechanism has been completely re-designed in order to achieve a 20% increase in stiffness, faster operation and a strong, safer lock. The G-Lock design also offers a "gravity closure" effect: the higher the vertical load applied to the leg, the stronger the closure.

Tube GITZO 6X carbon fiber GITZO was able to develop a multilayer six-cross carbon fiber 30% lighter than the previous generation of 1.5 mm that offers the same exceptional performance of stability and vibration absorption and unbeatable quality.
