Thanks to the first full-frame backlit CMOS image sensor with 35 mm and 42.4 megapixels, the α7R II SONY takes image resolution, sensitivity (up to ISO 102400 and response speed to another level. The fast hybrid autofocus system features extensive phase-detection AF coverage in a wide area plane that keeps the subject in precise focus over the entire image area, while its 5-axis image stabilization reduces the blur that often appears when not using a tripod. The high resolution is further increased with the recording of 4K videos with full pixel reading without grouping. Everything that hides this compact format only confirms that, sometimes, appearances are deceiving.

The α7R II combines the world's first 35mm full-frame, 42.4 MP backlight CMOS image sensor, fast hybrid autofocus, 5-axis image stabilization and advanced 4K video recording, with the sensitivity and speed needed to maintain the sharpness of any subject, even at high speed. The extended family of lenses and other accessories makes the most of their resolution even in extreme conditions.

As part of SONY's esteemed Master G series, this lens has been specially designed to achieve high resolution and sharpness through the correction of a wide variety of spherical and chromatic aberrations. In addition, these rugged feature lenses and-intuitive handle physical designs to benefit both photography and film applications.

A popular telephoto zoom designed for full-screen E-mount mirrorless cameras, this 70-200mm lens is also compatible with APS-C models to which it provides a focal length range equivalent to 105-300mm.

A maximum aperture f/2.8 constant offers consistent performance throughout the zoom range and greater control over the focusing position is also lent for the depth of field techniques.

Of the three aspherical elements incorporated into the lens design, one is an XA element with surface precision superior effectively reduce astigmatism, field curvature, coma, and other monochromatic image aberrations.

Four extra-low dispersion elements and two Super ED elements are offered in the lens design, too, and help control chromatic aberrations and reduce color halos for greater clarity and color fidelity.

A Nano AR Coating has been applied to reduce surface reflections, flare, and ghosting to increase contrast and color reproduction in extreme light conditions.
