The 18-200mm f AF-S DX NIKKOR / 3.5-5.6G ED VR II lens of NIKON is a single-lens solution for DX-format DSLRs. Its wide-angle to telephoto focal range with the equivalent of 35mm focal length of 27-300mm offers photographers a versatile tool to get the ball not without having to change lenses. It is designed with ED (extra low dispersion) superior quality elements, producing sharpness and color correction and without distortion, even in wide apertures. In addition, this zoom is constructed with three aspherical lens elements and a circular 7-blade diaphragm that makes images captured with natural-looking elements out of focus. Super integrated coating NIKON lens improves light transmission through the lens and reduces reflections and ghosting. VR (Vibration Reduction) image stabilization II compensates against blur caused by camera shake and allows shooting up to 3.5 shutter speed stops slower than with lenses without VR II. This allows for handheld recordings at telephoto lengths and in low light with less blur. The focus (SI) internal lens incorporates silent NIKON wave motor (SWM) to provide smooth, quiet, fast and accurate auto focusing. Autofocus (A) or manual (M) modes can be easily selected with a focus mode switch, and the manual override function allows the shooter to focus manually even in AF mode.
