It has a built-in protection system to prevent overcharging and excessive discharge, both of which can cause damage to the flight battery. When you have finished using the Mavic Pro for an extended period of time, it is recommended to place the battery in a long-term storage mode, LiPo batteries should only be kept at 50% of the charge during this extended period. Any more or less could cause permanent damage. If not used, smart flight batteries will DJI discharge energy up to 50% to maintain good health. If you live in a cold place or plan to fly on a winter getaway, low-temperature protection will kick in. This controls the available propulsion power based on the temperature of the battery, only a fully heated battery can deliver full power.
