The NIKON 70-200mm f2.8 ED VR II Lens is a strong, versatile and durable telephoto zoom lens with a fast constant maximum aperture, useful in low-light situations. A single-lens workhorse used by professionals and amateurs alike, it is ideal for photojournalism, sports and outdoor living and is effective for almost all telephoto applications, including portraiture. An FX format lens can also be mounted and used in DX format DSLRs.

The innovative Vibration Reduction (VR II) system minimizes blurry images caused by camera movement that allows shooting with handheld telephoto lens, even in low light conditions. It offers the equivalent of 3.5 the shutter speed stops faster than what the camera is set for. Its internal focusing system provides fast autofocus without extending the lens and the Silent Wave Motor AF allows for quiet and smooth focus adjustment. Manual full-time focus allows precise manual focus at the moment and at the minimum focusing distance over the entire zoom range is 4.6' (1.4m).

Seven extra-low dispersion lens elements minimize chromatic aberration and Nano Crystal coating reduces ghosting and glare. In addition, multi-layer Super Integrated Coating NIKON Lens minimizes reflections over the wider wavelength range to improve color and clarity. Suitable for use in harsh conditions, the lens is sturdy sealed with a rubber mounting seal and includes a tripod foot and detachable hood lens.
