Gitzo Traveler Tripod Kit with Ball Joint - Special Series 100Y

The GK100T Special Edition Kit is a hundredth anniversary edition, limited edition magnesium and carbon fiber alloy tripod, commemorating the centenary of GITZO 2017. Only 1,917 100-year anniversary edition tripods will be produced, in honor of 1917, the year GITZO was founded. As proof of the longevity of GITZO, each 100-year anniversary edition tripod is engraved with its production number on one of its legs.

Included with each 100-year anniversary edition tripod is an anniversary brochure, an authentication certificate, a label identifying the craftsman of GITZO who mounted the tripod, plus a leather strap.

Built with magnesium alloy and carbon fiber for durability and at the same time a light weight, the 100-year anniversary edition tripod withstands up to 22.0 lbs, measures 16.9" when folded and can be placed at a maximum height of 55.5" or 64.96" with its push-and-pull, fully elevated fast center column. Its 4-section legs feature an independent extension, a 2-position angle lock and turning locks for quick deployment. When the center column and legs retract, the tripod stands at 16.73". To improve stability on a wide variety of surfaces, each leg includes a rubber foot.

Cameras, lenses or sports optics that are compatible with a 1/4"-20 mount can be connected to the Arca-type quick release plate, which is attached to the tripod ball head by a quick-release clamp. engraved in celebration of GITZO's 100-year anniversary, it is detachable, offers up to 90° tilt for portrait orientation, 360° independent rotation, and can be locked into place throughout its range of motion.

For added versatility, a short, secondary central column is provided, making low-angle photography easier. When installed, the tripod can be lowered to a height of 9.25".
