The Q SnowLEICA
With classic LEICA styling, the Q (Typ 116) offers a minimalist and intuitive design while still being compact. It packs a full-frame sensor and the Summilux lens for optimal image quality in both still images and video. An electronic viewfinder is also available for operation and handling of the rangefinder-like, as are its M-series cameras.
24 MP Full-Frame CMOS Sensor and Maestro II Image Processor
With a 24 MP CMOS full-frame sensor, this camera can capture sharp high-resolution images and Full HD video with exceptionally low noise at sensitivities up to ISO 50000. Combined with the power of the Maestro II image processor, this allows continuous shooting at a speed of up to 10 fps and video up to 60 fps.
Summilux 28mm f/1.7 ASPH. Lens
Take control of your image with the ability to separate the subject from the background with the 28mm Summilux f/1.7 ASPH. LEICA Q lens (Type 116). It has a fast f/1.7 maximum aperture for working in low light conditions and both a physical ring aperture and focus sheet for touch operation. Users looking for a slightly tighter framing can benefit from a Digital Frame Selector environment that cuts in either 1.25x to an equivalent in 35mm or 1.8x for an equivalent field 50mm of view, both of which will be visible on the electronic viewfinder and LCD screen. In addition, further benefiting the image quality is an optical stabilization system to reduce camera movement in videos and photos and the ability to accept 49mm thread filters.
Electronic viewfinder
, Natural ergonomic shooting is possible with the inclusion of a 3.68 MP LCOS electronic viewfinder in the superior left corner of the back of the camera. This setting provides an exceptionally clear and bright viewing experience, with a 1280 x 960 pixels x 3 design colors.
Touch Screen 1,040k-Dot LCD 3.0"
Compose images, review photos, and adjust settings using the large "3.0 1,040k point LCD touchscreen" on the back of the camera. This panel will also be touched capable of making quick changes to the settings. This allows for features like touch focus for a simple tap on your theme to lock successively.
Full HD 1080p video recording
Full HD 1080p video recording at any 60 or 30 fps with the Q, capturing clear and very detailed images thanks to the Maestro II image processor. The camera can also record 720p at 30fps.
Body Design
Incorporating a solid machined plate superior aluminum and a magnesium alloy body, the Q (Typ 116) is designed to last. The rear features a substantial thumb support that combines with the rhombus beating makes for an extremely comfortable and secure grip on the camera.
Built-in Wi-Fi NFC Connectivity
Share your photos and videos instantly thanks to a built-in Wi-Fi module that allows you to link the camera to a smartphone, tablet or computer. The Q also has an NFC chip for tap-to-connect functionality with certain devices and the free LEICA Q app allows you to take remote control of the camera to adjust exposure while shooting from odd angles and positions.
