ContactRolleiflex Instant Kamera, created in collaboration with MiNT, is a dual-lens REFLEX camera designed for use with FUJIFILM INSTAX Mini film. Celebrating 90 years of Rolleiflex TLR, this camera recalls the essential attributes of the classic camera system, including fully manual exposure control, waist level viewfinder and, of course, twin lens setup. The 61mm f/5.6 lens has a triplet optical design with three aspherical elements for crisp rendering and the maximum aperture of f/5.6 suits shallow-of-field techniques. This camera also offers a wide range of creative exposure control, including timed shutter speeds of 1 to 1/500 seconds, shooting with focus for up to 10 seconds, a selection of aperture settings from f/5.6 to f/22, and a creative design. The f/bokeh-shaped setting can also be used to produce out-of-focus reflections with distinctive shapes when using selective focus techniques. In addition, manual focus control allows you to photograph subjects as close as 1.6' away.
At the center of the Rolleiflex aesthetic is the waist-level viewfinder, used for composing and focusing, which incorporates a Fresnel display for enhanced brightness along with an anti-glare coating to reduce surface reflections. A folding magnifying glass is integrated for a more precise focus. The camera design is also characterized by the inclusion of an electronic flash, which sits above the viewing lens, to provide additional illumination to the scene, and an ambient light meter can be used to accurately determine exposure settings.
