Offering a wide-angle perspective and characterized by its premium exterior construction, Irix 's 15mm f/2.4 Blackstone lens is a sophisticated main lens designed for CANON EF mount cameras. Benefiting from the wide field of view is an advanced optical design that features aspherical, low-dispersion, high-refractive index glass elements to control various aberrations and distortions, as well as maintain accurate and consistent color. A Neutrino coating is also used to control lens flare and ghosting and achieve a high degree of contrast and color fidelity when working in intense lighting conditions.

Complementing the optics, this 15mm f/2.4 uses a manual focus design for precise control and incorporates a unique positive focus lock to ensure focus position at any point for consistent and repeatable shots. As the Blackstone version of this focal length, this lens is also distinguished by an aluminum and magnesium alloy exterior, lens markings etched with fluorescent UV paint for high visibility, and ample weathering around the lens to allow working in harsh environments.

The Blackstone version of the 15mm f/2.4 lens features a durable aluminum-magnesium alloy housing and weatherproof exterior along with internal seals and an additional seal on the front element to protect against dust and moisture ingress. The metal exterior is also distinguished by its anti-scratch finish and sports engraved focus distance and depth of field scales with fluorescent UV paint for high visibility when working in low-light conditions.

• Designed for full-frame DSLRs with CANON EF mount, this lens can also be used on APS-C models where it provides a focal length equivalent to 24mm.
• The optical design features two aspherical elements, three high refractive index and two extra low dispersion to limit spherical and chromatic aberrations, as well as fringes and color distortion, to improve clarity, sharpness and even illumination.
