The new Objetico IRIX 45mm Dragonfly is compatible with full frame CANON, PENTAX and NIKON cameras, and medium format cameras FUJI where it is equivalent to a 36mm. This excellent lens has a great value for money, offering a unique optical performance. The Dragonfly series is mainly characterized by its sturdy exterior sealed using magnesium. The ultra-low dispersion of this lens and the 9-element multi-lens design allows for sharp, quality images.

Objective IRIX 45mm Dragonfly

Combining a versatile normal focal length with a fast design, Irix 45mm f/1.4 is a useful prime lens that is characterized by its manual focus operation and weather-sealed design. The bright f/1.4 maximum aperture excels in low-light conditions and also offers greater control over depth of field for working with selective focusing techniques. The optical design incorporates a number of specialized elements to reduce a variety of aberrations to produce sharp, color-accurate images.

Complementing the optical assets is a robust physical construction, dubbed Dragonfly, which incorporates extensive weather sealing to protect against dust and moisture. This manual focus lens also features printed focus distance and depth of field scales to benefit fast and accurate focusing, and a rounded nine-blade diaphragm contributes to smooth bokeh quality.

  • The full-length prime is compatible with full-frame CANON EF-mount cameras, however it can also be used with APS-C models where it provides a focal length equivalent to 72mm.
  • The impressive f/1.4 maximum aperture adapts to working in a variety of lighting conditions and also gives great control over depth of field to isolate the subject using selective focusing techniques.
  • One aspherical element and four high refractive index (RH) elements help minimize spherical aberrations and distortion for high sharpness and accurate rendering.
