The stabilized binoculars are equipped with the APC KITE (Angle Power Control) system. Without having to change the button, it will put the stabilizer electronics into sleep mode when the instrument is in the resting position (hanging from the neck) and automatically activate the unit when it starts observing again. This results in a huge increase in battery life and comfort of use.

120-HOUR BATTERY LIFE WITH APC POWER SAVINGS

The APC 42 binocular has 2 battery boxes. Each battery box has 2 standard AA batteries. One battery box contains 2 functional AA batteries that will run for 60 hours. The other box contains 2 spare AA batteries. After the first 60 hours, simply change the batteries and continue for another 60 hours. Intelligent functions such as the APC (Angle Power Control) KITE system will put the stabilizer electronics into sleep mode when the instrument is in the sleep position (hanging from the neck) and automatically activate the unit when it starts observing again. This results in a huge increase in battery life and comfort of use. And regardless of its position (standstill or active), after 90 minutes the instrument will automatically turn off to save energy.

The APC 42's stabilisation capability goes beyond suppressing image vibrations caused by wind or hand shaking. The APC 42 is completely waterproof. The optical system and electronics are sealed to result in an IPX 7 waterproof rating. It can withstand any kind of rain and can even be submerged to 1 meter deep for up to 30 minutes. The system is filled with nitrogen gas to prevent internal fogging.
