The Laowa 35mm nanomorph lens is an anamorphic lens designed to capture cinema with the highest definition at a constant compression factor of 1.5x regulation with synchronous focus and an aperture of T2.4 to T22 to be able to play with the depth of field and soft bokeh generated by the 13 iris sheets. The three colors of the ring that surround it are aesthetic, you can choose between them and their mount below.

Anamorphic lenses are frequently used in big-budget Hollywood productions to achieve the gorgeous widescreen cinematic look. An oval bokeh, horizontal flashes with the color to choose between three different and a smaller depth of field are aesthetics that add a cinematic and artistic touch to our contents. Until the advent of these Nanomorph lenses developed by Laowa, anamorphic lenses were a good tool, but heavy and high-volume. This revolutionary NANO concept allows its use to be simple and useful in any area of location, in a stabilizer, in a slider, in small spaces, even in a drone ... making its use feasible in a hitherto unimaginable way.
Designed for Super35, but compatible with other sensors
Specially designed for Super35, APS-C and Micro Four Thirds sensors. But its careful design and development to give greater coverage than that of a Super35 sensor of the Nanomorph objectives allows the lenses to be used in full-frame cameras recording in 16: 9 with only a slight vignetting, which is perfectly used as an artistic tool in the composition of our frames.
Flare effect to choose
There are 3 flare options available, blue, amber and silver. Anamorphic lenses with blue flares are very common on the market and fit perfectly with a science fiction and cooler environment. However, they don't necessarily go well with human skin tones. The new amber option we introduced could provide a warmer, more passionate vibe that's suitable for narrative and day/night shots. The silver version gives a different flash color depending on the light source.
16:9 to 2.4:1 widescreen display
By exerting a compression on the image of 1.5x, we can obtain a cinematic aspect 2.66:1 from a native capture 16:9 after decompression. Compared to the 1.33x anamorphic lens, Laowa Nanomorph offers a much more pronounced anamorphic and cinematic look.
