11mm Laowa LEICA M lens

Laowa 11mm LEICA M f4.5 FF RL lens offers an exceptional optical construction that includes 2 spherical elements and 2 ultra-low dispersion elements to minimize distortions and chromatic aberrations. While the 135° wide angle of view is combined with a rectilinear design, perfect for capturing landscapes, landscapes and architecture, it is so wide that it exceeds the field of view of a rangefinder camera.

11mm Laowa LEICA M lens

With an ultra-wide field of view coupled with a sleek design, Venus Optics' Laowa 11mm f/4.5 FF RL Black is a unique wide-angle first with rectilinear rendering that is ideal for indoor, architecture, nature and landscape applications. The huge 126° viewing angle is aided by advanced optical design, including a high aspherical refractive index and low-dispersion elements, for well-corrected, crisp and color-accurate images. The lens has a manual focus design and allows you to work with subjects at a distance of up to 7.5" and its integrated petal-shaped sunshade helps block stray light so it doesn't cause unwanted flare on the lens.

  • Ultra-wide prime is designed for rangefinder cameras with LEICA M mount.
  • Two aspherical elements and an ultra-high refractive index glass element help control distortion and spherical aberrations to improve sharpness and accurate rendering.
  • Three extra-low dispersion elements are used to reduce color fringes and chromatic aberrations to produce high color clarity and accuracy.
  • The impressive 126° wide viewing angle is combined with a rectilinear design, depicting subjects with minimal distortion to suit landscape and architectural applications. This ultra-wide field of view will surpass that of a rangefinder camera; An external electronic viewfinder or live viewing method should be used to make accurate compositions.
  • Coupled rangefinder for precise focusing using the camera's viewfinder; Even though the lens has a minimum focusing distance of 7.5", the lens/rangefinder is only coupled for an accurate focus of 2.3' and this distance is highlighted on the focusing distance scale. To work between 7.5" and 2.3', live visualization methods must be used for precise focusing.
  • The built-in petal-shaped lens hood helps prevent stray light from causing flare on the lens and also offers some physical protection to the front element of the lens.
  • The front of the lens is threaded to accept optional 62mm filters. The lens is also compatible with an exclusive and optional 100mm filter holder.
  • The five-blade diaphragm produces distinct 10-point solar stars and specular reflections when stopped and point light sources are photographed.
