Combining an exceptionally wide field of view with the ability to correct perspective distortion, Venus Optics' CANON Laowa 15mm f/4.5 Zero-D Shift EF mount is an ideal lens for architecture and interior applications. The wide viewing angle of 110° is complemented by an impressive shift range of +/- 11mm to compensate for unwanted convergent lines and keystone distortion. This shift control is further complemented by a 360° rotation mechanism that applies the movements in various directions to suit both landscape and portrait orientation shooting. In addition, as part of the Zero-D series of lenses, this 15mm f/4.5 also reproduces scenes with a high degree of accuracy and very low distortion.

In terms of optics, two aspherical elements and three extra-low dispersion elements are presented, which reduce spherical and chromatic aberrations for high sharpness and clarity. An anti-reflective coating also helps control flare and ghosting to increase contrast and color reproduction. The lens uses a manual focus design to work with subjects at a distance of 7.9" and has a five-leaf diaphragm to produce 10 distinct point solar stars.

• The ultra-wide lens is designed for full-frame EF-mount CANON cameras, however, it can also be used with APS-C models where it provides a focal length equivalent to 24mm.

• As part of the Zero-D series, this lens has a rectilinear design that shows subjects with minimal distortion to suit architectural, interior and landscape applications.

• The built-in displacement adjustment of +/- 11mm helps correct perspective distortion and eliminate keystone distortion.
