Combining an exceptionally wide field of view with the ability to correct for perspective distortion, the Venus Optics CANON Laowa 15mm f/4.5 Zero-D Shift EF mount is an ideal lens for architectural and interior applications. The wide viewing angle of 110° is complemented by an impressive +/- 11mm shift range to compensate for unwanted converging lines and keystone distortion. This shift control is further complemented by a 360° rotation mechanism that applies the movements in various directions to suit both horizontal and vertical orientation shooting. In addition, as part of the Zero-D lens series, this 15mm f/4.5 also reproduces scenes with a high degree of accuracy and very low distortion.

In terms of optics, two aspherical elements and three extra-low dispersion elements are presented, which reduce spherical and chromatic aberrations for high sharpness and clarity. An anti-reflective coating also helps control flare and ghosting to increase contrast and color reproduction. The lens uses a manual focus design to work with subjects at a distance of 7.9" and has a five-blade diaphragm to produce distinct 10-point solar stars.

• The ultra-wide lens is designed for full-frame EF-mount CANON cameras, however it can also be used with APS-C models where it provides a focal length equivalent to 24mm.

• As part of the Zero-D series, this lens has a rectilinear design that displays subjects with minimal distortion to suit architectural, interior and landscape applications.

• The built-in +/- 11mm offset adjustment helps correct perspective distortion and eliminate keystone distortion.

• The large 65mm diameter image circle easily covers full-frame sensors without vignettes. In addition, this lens can also be adapted to medium format mirrorless cameras (44 x 33 mm sensor), where up to +/- 8 mm offset are available.

• The shift control works in conjunction with 360° rotation to apply the shift in various directions, benefiting the switch between vertical and horizontal shooting orientations, and the rotation mechanism has click stops in 15° increments for intuitive operation.

• Two aspherical elements limit spherical aberrations and distortion to improve sharpness and accurate rendering.

• Three ex-low dispersion elements reduce chromatic aberrations and color stripes to increase clarity and color neutrality.

• The updated anti-reflective coating suppresses flare and ghosting to improve contrast and color accuracy when working in bright light conditions.
