The fisheye Samyang 12mm is a manual lens, with manual focus. It offers a diagonal viewing angle of 180 degrees in a full frame (24 x 36 mm format) of the sensor. In terms of optics, it is one of the most advanced "fisheye" lenses.

With excellent construction and optical construction, it has 12 lens elements arranged in 8 groups, including three elements are of low ED dispersion glass and two aspherical elements ensuring perfect image depth and minimizing chromatic aberration.

Samyang 12mm 1:2.8 ED AS NCS Fisheye features the NCS nanocrystals highly effective anti-reflective coating applied along with standard UMC coatings. It provides great focus, high contrast and natural color reproduction, even shooting wide open is an excellent lens for use in various lighting conditions.

The 7 opening sheets are circularfor beautiful bokeh. The lens frame is compact and solid as it is made of high-strength aluminum. The detachable petal-shaped sunshade minimizes reflections and ghosting.

Fisheye lenses are very popular for special effects used when distortion, exaggerated perspective or extreme depth of field are desired.
