The 85mm Samyang T1.5 Cine lens produces a telephoto angle view slightly on the full-frame sensors. It has a very fast maximum aperture of T1.5 or 8 leaf irises, due to the depth of field with attractive bokeh. The focus rings and control aperture is equipped with industry-standard gear, which provides an interface for working with a traditional tracking approach. The aperture control ring has also been "declicked", which facilitates smooth iris pulls. The 85mm has a minimum focusing distance of 3.6'. Focusing minimizes the effects of lens breathing, which ensures a focusing angle of view when adjusted more consistent internally. The lens is composed of 9 elements in 7 groups, including an aspherical element to reduce spherical aberrations. In addition, a number of multi-coated elements help improve light transmission.
