The ZEISS Batis 140mm f2 CF lens is a true masterpiece of engineering, on the one hand it includes an OLED screen that exposes you to the focus distance and depth of field to be able to handle with even greater precision, a fast and silent autofocus thanks to its linear motor. On the other, an internal design with floating elements, to offer constant sharpness and illumination throughout the focus range, and of course the highest range of spherical and low dispersion glass elements to avoid any type of chromatic and light aberration.

The ZEISS Batis 40mm f2 CF, which offers a unique short-normal focal length with a close-focus design, is SONY E-mount characterized by its advanced optical design. The innovative design of the Batis lenses features an OLED display that highlights the focusing distance and depth of field range to quickly recognize its focus parameters, and autofocus is handled by a linear motor that maintains fast, quiet and smooth performance. Regarding optics, the lens employs a Distagon concept with a floating element design, which maintains constant sharpness and illumination throughout the focus range, and a number of aspherical and low-dispersion glass elements help control chromatic and spherical aberrations. An anti-reflective coating ZEISS T* was also applied to individual elements to suppress glare and ghosting to improve contrast and color fidelity, and the lens also possesses a sealed construction against dust and moisture to allow use in harsh environments.
This versatile short lens of normal and short length, this 40mm lens is designed specifically for full-frame E-mount mirrorless digital cameras; however, it can also be used on APS-C models where it provides an equivalent focal length of 60 mm.
