The new ZEISS Batis 18mm f2.8 Lens impresses with its high image quality throughout its field of view. "By virtue of its 99-degree diagonal wide-angle field, this optic is ideal for capturing unique images of landscapes, architecture and astro photography, as well as for stunning indoor shots in tight spaces.

This super wide angle has this optical construction, it is resorted to the design and typical of the optical manufacturer Distagon and we find 11 optical elements in 10 groups of which Four are aspherical on both sides and Seven of them are made with special glasses.

We also highlight the design of floating elements which allow a high performance of constant image in the focal plane, from the minimum distance to the object to infinity.

As was already the case with the other Batis ZEISS lenses,the new Batis 18mm f2.8 ZEISS Lens also features an OLED display that shows the focus distance and depth of field depending on the camera sensor used. Easy to read even in low ambient light

The ZEISS Batis 18mm f2.8 Lens incorporates a fast and quiet AF system with linear motors keeps the subject sharp and focused. In addition to autofocus, a practical focus ring with a rubber surface allows you to manually focus precisely on an image.

Batis' ZEISS targets are also sealed against dust and inclement weather. All ZEISS Batis optics support all modes and functions of the current range of E-mount cameras.
