More Info. LUMIX S1R

The main features of the camera, the LUMIX S1R, are as follows:

The new Full-Frame mirrorless camera: the LUMIX S1R. With a 47.3 million pixel CMOS sensor, it is the world's highest resolution Full-Frame mirrorless camera*1 and delivers images of unprecedented quality, capable of delivering exceptional detail, rich gradation and superior color reproduction.

Thanks to the new Venus Engine processor, the LUMIX S1R incorporates a high-precision ultra-fast autofocus system, ensuring that the camera meets the exact needs of professional photographers in any situation. To capture the decisive moments, photographers frame the image using the world's highest resolution electronic viewfinder*, with unprecedented clarity, thanks to the 5.76 million dot OLED display. Built around the L-Mount stand, the LUMIX S1R is designed to deliver unsurpassed image quality, combining the highest quality of detail and great photographic control, with outstanding image stabilization and advanced video recording.

The ability to capture the details of the 47.3 million pixel (36 x 24 mm) Full-Frame CMOS sensor is multiplied by the absence of filters, ensuring that the finest textures of any scene are captured accurately. New micro lens design to offer the best efficiency Low noise even with high ISOs High resolution mode to get 186 megapixel images The new micro aspherical lenses of each receiving photo improve the sensor's ability to capture light to maintain low noise levels even by setting the ISO to the maximum. The LUMIX S1R offers an ISO range of up to 25,600, making it ideal for working in low-light conditions.

For situations that require a resolution greater than 47.3 million pixels, photographers can create incredible images of 187 million pixels using High Resolution Mode. This function combines information recorded in eight different exposures, captured by the camera itself by adjusting the position of the sensor. The result is a 16,736 x 11,168 pixel RAW file packed with information. One of the functions of High Resolution Mode is the elimination of blur caused by movement.

Advanced Image Stabilization The 5-axis image stabilization system compensates for the effects of camera vibrations, making it possible to use shooting speeds 5.5 times lower than usual* 1 . Combined with LUMIX's own S-series dual-axis optical stabilizer, the S1R's dual image stabilization system increases the level of compensation up to 6 points*2, working to eliminate the effects of a wide range of camera movements in both still photo and video*3. Using sophisticated technology, vibrations are not only measured by a gyroscopic sensor, but also information from the sensor itself and the accelerometer that incorporates the camera sensor is used. To help photographers reduce camera vibrations, a spherical image stabilization status indicator has been added that shows a graphical interpretation of motion.

Combining Panasonic 's unique DFD contrast detection technology with ultra-fast processing, you get a focusing system that delivers speed and accuracy. For extremely fast and accurate focusing, the Venus Engine, CMOS sensor and new LUMIX S lenses communicate at 480fps, allowing the system to react in 0.08 seconds*1. Autofocus works up to light levels as low as -6 EV*2.
Artificial Intelligence improves autofocus performance. Facial recognition incorporates eye focus and animal detection. Burst shooting of nine frames per second at full resolution.
Autofocus tracking has been enhanced by Advanced Artificial Intelligence that detects people, cats, dogs and birds. Determining which subject is helps anticipate movement patterns and allows autofocus to keep the subject in focus even with its back to the camera.
Facial recognition, which detects eyes and pupils, ensures that portraits are properly in focus.
For fast-moving situations, the LUMIX S1R is capable of shooting up to 9fps at AFS or 6fps at continuous focus. 6K mode allows shooting of JPEG images of 18 million pixels at 30fps, while 4K mode offers 30 or 60fps sequences with 8 megapixels of resolution* 3.

The world's highest resolution digital viewfinder*1 delivers incredible clarity for photographers with the 5.76 million dot OLED display. The Real View Finder refreshes the image up to 120fps with a delay of just 0.005 seconds to realistically and fluidly capture the movement of subjects in action. The resolution of the screen, with a contrast of 10,000:1, allows a detailed and high-clarity vision. The viewfinder can be adjusted to magnitudes of 0.78x, 0.74x or 0.7x, for total photographer comfort. The 3.2-inch touchscreen contains 2.1 million pixels, and is made up of a triple-axis monitor, which allows you total movement to get the best viewing angle at all times. Night Mode, Live View Boost, and backlit buttons help work in low-light conditions, and the camera's superior plate incorporates the largest LCD screen in its class to keep the photographer informed of shooting settings at a glance.

Category-leading video Despite being developed for exceptional photography, the LUMIX S1R enables advanced 4K video recording up to 60/50p*1. The High Speed Video mode allows 2x slow motion at 60fps in 4K, reaching 6x in Full HD at 180fps. The signal can be recorded on SD or XQD cards* 2 or externally through the HDMI type A port. Regarding audio, it has two 3.5mm ports specifically designed to connect microphones and headphones respectively. For advanced audio quality, you can use the DMW-XLR1 adapter, which allows you to connect professional XLR microphones.

Developed for professional photographers, the LUMIX S1R has been built to withstand heavy use, with a body of a molten magnesium alloy, sealed on every gasket, dial and button. The camera is dust and splash resistant and operates at temperatures as low as -10º C* 1. The firing unit has been designed to withstand 400,000 cycles. It allows exposures of as little as 1/8000 seconds to capture fast-moving objects even with aperture settings open in broad daylight. External flash can sync with the fastest shooting speed on the market at 1/320 seconds

The control buttons and dials are carefully located taking into account the ergonomics of the users. The adoption of an 8-way joystick and a refined user interface allows for agile and fast operation at all times. A locking pin prevents unwanted operations, as the user can choose the functions to lock. Photographers can also protect their work by automatically adding their personal and copyright data to the camera as they are taken. The dual slot allows you to insert both SD (UHS-II) and XQD* 3 cards, while CFexpress support is planned for the near future.

Built-in camera controls give photographers great flexibility in how JPEG files are recorded. The style of each photo can be adjusted, while new styles can be created and saved. The Flat option creates JPEG's with a contrast and flat saturation as a flexible starting point for the post-production process. New photography styles include HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma)* modes1 for vibrant dynamic range images that retain all detail, and are reproduced in all their glory on the new 4K TVs with HLG support from PANASONIC via HDMI. Images captured with HLG modes can be saved as HSP files in 8K resolution, as well as in JPEG and RAW formats.

When making portraits, new white balance settings, such as the AWBw, create an attractive and moderate reddish tint, and a new High Light Priority mode prioritizes the retention of details in the brightest areas of the image.

The main features of the Lens PANASONIC S 24-70mm

A contemporary version of the classic standard fast zoom, the PANASONIC Lumix S PRO 24-70mm f/2.8 is an L-mount short-angle to wide-angle telephoto lens that is characterized by its constant f/2.8 maximum aperture and sophisticated optical design. Aspherical, UHR and ED elements are used to produce well-corrected images with high sharpness, accurate color rendering and remarkable clarity in zoom and focus ranges. Complementing the optics is a dual-focus system, which uses a linear motor and a stepper motor, to provide especially fast and accurate focusing performance. In addition, the lens has a weather-sealed design for use in harsh conditions and an 11-blade rounded diaphragm contributes to a pleasant bokeh quality with smooth transitions between the focused and out-of-focus regions of the image.
