Manfrotto 509HD video ball joint with quick shoe

The 509HD is the result of a major technical evolution - the perfect synthesis between an innovative bridge-like architecture and the engineering of the latest generation of MANFROTTO: Bridging Technology - an exclusive patent of MANFROTTO. A new bridge that allows the videographer and photographer to achieve even better results with today's high-definition cameras.

The 509HD incorporates the FDS (Fluid Drag System) system based on fluid cartridges on both the TILT (tilt) and PAN (horizontal) axis; the ergonomics of the controls have been significantly improved to make the use of the SDS even easier. Movement on the shafts is smoothed by the use of ball bearings that eliminate any unwanted vibration. All this guarantees an extraordinary level of control and excellent support of the camcorder, no matter what the situation, the recording style, or the equipment used.

The 509HD is capable of withstanding a maximum load of 13.5kg at 55mm C.O.G or 9Kg at 125mm C.O.G. and performing counterbalance from 12.8Kg to 55mm C.O.G or 8.5Kg to 125mm C.O.G. The two 3/8" threads on the superior part of the platform allow direct mounting of accessories, such as monitors and arms, eliminating the need for extra tweezers, saving preparation time and freeing the camera shoe for other accessories. The 509HD incorporates the ABR (Advanced Balancing Recorder) system to achieve maximum precision when assembling the equipment, ensuring a perfectly balanced position, saving time and making this operation much more efficient, precise and fast. The system can be balanced thanks to the Ø100mm semi-sphere and the illuminated level bubble.

Systems are available with aluminum tripods with dual tube legs (with central stabilizer or ground level) or with single tube leg tripods in carbon fiber.
