The EIZO CG318-4K comes equipped with DisplayPort and HDMI inputs, making it easy to connect this monitor to a variety of computer configurations. The IPS display comes with a maximum resolution of 4096 x 2160, a contrast ratio of 1500:1, a response time of 9ms, a brightness rating of 350 cd/m², and support for up to 1.07 billion colors. • True blacks with a contrast ratio of 1500:1

In compliance with the DCI standard, the contrast ratio is high 1500:1. This produces true blacks that are otherwise difficult to display on a typical LCD monitor. Even when viewing the screen from an angle in a low-light studio, dark tones retain their depth. In addition, you can prioritize high brightness and contrast ratio over the brightness uniformity of the screen by pressing a button on the front of the monitor.

• Color display consistent with IPS panel

A large-screen monitor often exhibits color change when viewed from an angle. With an IPS panel, more than one person can see the screen at a time with little color or contrast change.

• Corner-to-corner uniformity

Fluctuations in brightness and chromaticity in different parts of the screen are a common feature of LCD monitors. To counter this, EIZO 's patented Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE) technology ensures a Delta-E difference of 3 or less on the screen when the monitor leaves the factory. DUE also counteracts the influences that a fluctuating ambient temperature can have on color temperature and brightness to ensure stable image display.

• Simultaneous 10-bit display

With the simultaneous 10-bit color display of a 16-bit lookup table, the CG318-4K can display more than a billion colors simultaneously. This is 64 times more colors than you get with an 8-bit display that results in smoother color gradations and a reduced Delta-E between two adjacent colors.

Note that 10-bit display also requires a graphics card and software that supports 10-bit output. A computer that supports Deep Color with HDMI inputs is required.

• 3D LUT for accurate color display

A 3D LUT is included that adjusts the colors individually in an RGB cubic table. With the emulation feature of ColorNavigator 6 and ColorNavigator NX, the 3D LUT applies a movie look to the image so creators can see how their audience will see it.

With ColorNavigator Network software, an administrator can centralize the management of all CG318-4K monitors and other ColorEdge monitors on a network. For example, the administrator can autocap, set color modes, record or edit asset management settings, and other tasks, whether the monitors are local or remote. This ensures that monitors are always properly configured and save hundreds or even thousands of hours in annual maintenance time.

• Film and television presets

Preset modes for EBU, Rec. 709, SMPTE-C and DCI ensure that you can work in the appropriate color spaces and gamma values. To switch between presets, simply press a button on the front of the monitor. With the built-in calibration sensor, you can adjust or maintain the brightness settings for each preset.
