The ColorEdge CG3146 EIZO Monitor has been designed to be installed in a spacious studio, since it has a size of 32 inches. Among its most outstanding features we can find compatibility with HDR, LCD panel, 4096 x 2160 resolution, a 17: 9 aspect ratio and a wide variety of connectivity ports for SDI, HDMI and display.
An integrated calibration sensor, HDR support, and a native 4096 x 2160 display are just a few of the notable features of the 32" ColorEdge PROMINENCE CG3146 HDR EIZO reference monitor. The monitor supports 99% of the DCI-P3 color space and is suitable for use in HDR image evaluation. The built-in calibration sensor descends from the superior part of the monitor and, using the available calibration software, allows you to create a profile to ensure that the monitor displays the image accurately. The CG3146 takes just three minutes from being powered on to stabilize and be ready to use, unlike other monitors that take 30 minutes or more to achieve stable color and brightness so you can be up and running, knowing you can rely on your monitor's images much faster.
The In-Plane Switching (IPS) panel has an aspect ratio of 17:9 and a screen brightness of 1000 cd/m² (required for HDR monitoring) and uses EIZO 's digital uniformity equalizer technology to provide a stable and consistent image with a contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1. A 10ms gray-to-gray response time and 178° viewing angle deliver an accurate image from any viewing angle. The 10-bit panel can display 1070 million colors which, when combined with its brightness capabilities, makes it capable of accurately displaying HDR images. A removable cover helps keep light off the screen for a better viewing experience.
HDR gamma curves
The ColorEdge PROMINENCE CG3146 monitor supports two gamma curves used for HDR video: hybrid log-gamma curve (HLG) and perceptual quantization curve (PQ). HLG supports SDR (Standard Dynamic Range) displays and is suitable for live TV broadcasts. The PQ curve approximates the human visual system in terms of color and light perception, making it ideal for movies, streaming, and other video content. Both gamma curves are endorsed by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) as ITU-R BT.2100. In addition, the PQ curve is compatible with SMPTE as ST-2084.
Integrated calibration sensor
The built-in sensor eliminates the need for a third-party calibration device. Calibration information is saved directly to the monitor, so you don't need to recalibrate if connected to more than one PC.
Large 31.1" display
Whether you're creating, editing, or reviewing your work, this display offers ample space to focus on 4K content. With a density of 149 dpi, it is suitable not only for video editing, but also for photo retouching and printing.
Vivid colors reproduced to industry standards
This wide-gamut monitor faithfully reproduces 99% of the DCI-P3 standard used in digital cinema and is compatible with the 2020 standard used in broadcasting.
Uniformity
Eizo's Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE) corrects deviations in each line of the screen to ensure stable viewing.
10-bit simultaneous display
With simultaneous 10-bit display from a 24-bit lookup table (LUT), the ColorEdge CG319X can display more than a billion colors simultaneously. This results in smooth color gradations and reduced Delta-E between two adjacent colors.
Preparation time of 3 minutes
From the time it is turned on until the color is stable, the monitor takes only three minutes, unlike most monitors that require at least 30 minutes before you can trust its accuracy or perform a calibration. This allows you to start working faster and reduces the amount of uptime, which prolongs the practical life of the monitor.
Temperature compensation
Built-in temperature sensors automatically track and compensate for variations in monitor temperature throughout the day.
Tickets
This monitor supports video resolutions up to DCI 4K60 via SDI, up to 4:2:2 12-bit at 50/60p via HDMI and up to 4:4:4 10-bit at 50/60p via its DisplayPort input.
Streaming and cinema presets
Preset modes for DCI-P3, Rec. 709, and Rec. 2020, make sure you can work in the appropriate color spaces and gamma values. In addition, preset modes for PQ (DCI and Rec. 2100) and HLG (Rec. 2100) are available for viewing HDR content.
Luminance warning
The monitor includes a PQ and HLG crop function that displays areas of an image that are displayed at higher brightness levels than the current setting. Areas that cannot be displayed at the correct brightness with the current settings are displayed in yellow or magenta. PQ and HLG trimming can be seen for brightness levels of 300, 500, 1000 and 4000 cd/m2.
