Monitor EIZO CS2400R

The Monitor EIZO CS2400R is a display with an unusual resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels, a bit higher than other monitors. This allows users to make better use of space and speeds up editing. As for other features, we find that this Coloredge has IPS technology, 24.1 inches and hardware color calibration. Does not include visor or caliper

Monitor EIZO CS2400R

The CS2400R is the most affordable model in the ColorEdge series and combines the best image quality, connectivity, and 100% sRGB/Rec709.

Exceptional image quality

The monitor impresses with the maximum resolution (1920 x 1200), a very good contrast ratio of 1000:1 and a maximum brightness of 300 cd/m². This makes it possible, for example, to edit graphics and images with pixel precision. In addition , the outlines of the text are clear and precise. The LCD module with dual-layer IPS panel (Wide Gamut, 10 Bit) allows for a wide viewing angle. This means that color tones and contrasts remain stable in the user's cone of vision.

Smooth transitions and gradients thanks to 16-bit LUT and 10-bit mode

The CS2400R's LUT (Look-Up-Table) calculates internally with an extremely high color depth of 16 bits, and the panel then outputs the signals with up to 10 bits. This means that billions of color shades are available to calculate the monitor's accurate display. This effectively prevents display errors caused by the monitor, such as banding or clipping, which cause tonal value breaks in gradients or color casts in grayscales. Even the nuances and fine structures of the dark or heavily saturated areas of the image are still displayed in a differentiated and detailed way.

Left the factory in perfect condition

To ensure that a ColorEdge is ready for use right out of the box, each CS2400R] is individually measured and optimally adjusted at the factory. To do this, the gamma curves of the red, green and blue channels are thoroughly checked and, if necessary, corrected. This unique factory calibration from EIZO allows the user to use the monitor with the preset color spaces right out of the box. This elaborate factory calibration is also the reason why user recalibration with ColorNavigator is so fast.

Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE)

Each individual monitor panel is accurately measured across its entire surface in the factory EIZO. Any inhomogeneity in brightness and color shades is detected and eliminated. This process (Digital Uniformity Equalizer, or DUE) ensures that identical colors always look the same throughout the life of the monitor, regardless of where they are displayed. This is the only way to accurately edit and retouch images.

Calibration Report

Each ColorEdge CS2400R is supplied with an individual calibration report that shows the measurement results of the monitor's factory calibration. The report demonstrates the monitor's homogeneity, gamma curve, color space coverage, and white point.

Hardware calibration without compromise

To ensure that a monitor always displays the same file in the same way throughout its lifetime, regular calibration is essential. To do this, all ColorEdge monitors use the lossless hardware calibration method. Unlike software calibration, where there is always a risk of loss of display quality, hardware calibration not only creates a correction profile for the graphics card, but also adjusts the monitor's LUT (Look-Up-Table).

EIZO software for fast calibration and printing

Each monitor ages and changes its display properties. As a result, graphic monitors, which require absolutely constant image display throughout their lifetime, must be calibrated and corrected regularly. With EIZO's free ColorNavigator 7 calibration software, the ColorEdge CS2400R can be corrected in 90 seconds (measured with MacBook Pro and EX4), easily and losslessly. So the same image on the monitor will still look the same five years from now.

The free Quick Color Match software helps users see on the monitor what their images will look like when printed on their CANON inkjet printer or home EPSON , even without in-depth knowledge of color management. In this way, images can be optimised for the special properties of the selected photo paper before printing and costly printing errors are avoided.

EIZO microchip

The CS2400R has a high-quality microchip (ASIC, Application-Specific Integrated Circuit) that has EIZO specially developed for the special requirements of working with uniform colors. This microchip is the brain of every ColorEdge and the guarantee of the display of an accurate, uniform and consistent image for which EIZO is known.

State-of-the-art connectivity with USB-C

Image signal, USB data transfer, as well as power supply with up to 70 W, all this and more can be realized with a single USB-C cable. The ColorEdge CS2400R thus becomes the central hub of the graphic workflow. Peripheral devices such as a mouse, keyboard, or printer can be plugged directly into the USB-A ports. Mobile devices such as laptops or tablets can even be charged with up to 70W via the USB-C cable. In this way, a laptop and CS2400R can be turned into a full-fledged desktop workstation in one quick step.
