For proper color management in your work it is necessary to ensure that the monitor keeps its settings constant. The included ColorNavigator 6 software makes calibration easy. Simply select the desired preset or assign values for brightness, white point, and gamma. The integrated sensor directly uses the monitor's data table and creates your ICC profile in a few minutes.

ColorNavigator NX Quality Control Software

The ColorEdge CG2420 is compatible with ColorNavigator NX (QC) quality control software. It offers the advantage of customer management of ColorEdge monitors and covers everything from calibration, emulation, integrated sensor correlation to color mode settings. With ColorNavigator NX the calibration information is saved on the PC regardless of the operating system, so you do not have to recalibrate it if more than one PC is connected. The software is most effective using the proprietary solution EIZO ColorNavigator Network.

The wide color gamut of the ColorEdge CG2420 reproduces most of the Adobe RGB color space, so the images displayed in Adobe RGB will be displayed correctly. Photographs of bright blue skies and lush green forests are reproduced truthfully in a way that monitors limited by sRGB color space cannot display. The wide color gamut also almost entirely secures the CMYK ISO-coated and US Web-coated color spaces used in printing.

Using the DisplayPort or HDMI input, the ColorEdge CG2420 simultaneously offers display from the 10-bit* to 16-bit color chart which means it can display more than a trillion colors simultaneously. This is 64 times more colors than you get on an 8-bit monitor which even provides smooth color grading and reduced Delta-E between two adjacent colors.

Uniformity from Corner to Corner

Fluctuations in brightness and chromaticity in different parts of the screen is a common trait in LCD monitors. To counteract this, the ColorEdge CG2420 is equipped with EIZO features a Digital Uniformity Equalizer (DUE) to ensure a Delta-E value difference of 3 or less around the entire screen. DUE also counteracts the influence that temperature fluctuation may have on color and brightness for stable image display.
