NIKON is pleased to announce the development of the NIKKOR Z 28mm f/2.8 and NIKKOR Z 40mm f/2 lenses. These new lightweight and compact prime lenses are designed for full-frame mirrorless cameras ( NIKON FX format), where the NIKON Z-mount has been adopted. The targets are scheduled to be launched in 2021.

The NIKKOR Z 28mm f/2.8 will be a wide-angle prime lens, perfect for everyday snapshots. In contrast, the NIKKOR Z 40mm f/2 has been designed as a standard prime lens that allows users to easily use bokeh in their photographs. The two lenses will be easy to use for a wide variety of users, including those who have never used mirrorless cameras before, and in a wide variety of everyday scenarios.
