The Nikon NIKKOR Z 28mm f/2.8 (SE) is an ultra-compact and lightweight FX format fixed lens with a traditional NIKON design. This special edition lens inherits its design from the classic NIKKOR lenses released around the same time as the fm2 NIKON film SLR camera, with features that faithfully reproduce the designs of that era, such as knurling and a prominent control ring. The lens is designed to be a versatile wide-angle lens that fits well into a variety of subjects, including landscapes, architecture, and reportage. With a maximum aperture of f/2.8, this bright and fast lens delivers beautiful detail at a standard focal length. Complementing the optical design, a multi-focus system, employing two stepper motors, helps achieve incredibly fast, accurate and quiet focusing performance, along with full-time manual focus override, to meet still image and video needs. In addition, a programmable control ring can be configured for intuitive adjustment over a variety of camera and exposure settings. It is an excellent transport lens for spontaneous moments at any time of the day.
Compatible with FX and DX format Z-series Z NIKON -series mirrorless cameras
Control ring rotates to control focus, aperture, ISO or exposure compensation
Two quick-pitch autofocus motors run almost silently. The internal focus lens features a rear focus design that splits elements into specific lens groups, with only the rear lens cluster moving to focus for faster, smoother operation. The position of the focus groups is precisely controlled, resulting in extremely precise and high-speed AF control
Allows an easy transition from autofocus to manual during AF operation
The position of the focus groups is precisely controlled, resulting in extremely precise and high-speed AF control. In addition, by effectively reducing aberrations, excellent image performance is obtained throughout the shooting range, including short distances.
Multilayer lens coating achieves high transmittance over a wider wavelength range. This coating system effectively reduces the ghosting and flare effects that can occur in backlight situations, helping you achieve high-contrast images with rich gradation. Ghosting and flare effects caused by particular internal reflections from digital cameras are also effectively minimized to achieve exceptional color balance and reproducibility, as well as excellent optical performance.
