Compact, easy to use and versatile are all traits of the NIKON D3500,which is designed to be as flexible and intuitive as possible, while also offering the imaging capabilities you expect from a DSLR camera. Using a 24.2MP CMOS sensor in DX format and an EXPEED 4 image processor, the D3500 provides a native sensitivity range from ISO 100-25600 to suit work in a variety of lighting conditions, and the sensor-processor combination also provides continuous shooting of 5 fps rate as well as Full HD 1080p video recording at 60 fps. The sensor design also omits an optical low-pass filter to achieve greater sharpness and resolution of photos and videos.

Complementing imaging capabilities, the D3500 also features SnapBridge, which uses Bluetooth connectivity, to share images wirelessly on your mobile device, including automatic 2MP image sharing between the camera and your mobile device. The lightweight camera body incorporates a 3.0" 921k-dot LCD display for live view monitoring and image review and, for early DSLR owners, the D3500 also features a useful Guide Mode to help achieve specific looks or photographic techniques, such as how to produce shallow-field images in a useful way, step by step. Ten different special effects are also available on the camera to creatively refine the look of stills and movies.

• 24.2MP DX package sensor and EXPEED 4 processor

The 24.2-megapixel DX-format CMOS sensor and EXPEED 4 processor work together to produce high image quality with remarkable detail, dynamic range, color accuracy, and low light sensitivity at a native ISO 25600. In addition, the sensor design omits low optics. -Step filter to acquire the greatest sharpness and detail of the subjects. The EXPEED 4 processor also allows for a lot of speed throughout the camera system, including support for Full HD 1080p movie recording and a full-resolution continuous shooting speed of 5fps.

• SnapBridge Bluetooth connectivity

The D3500 supports a wealth of sharing and tagging possibilities, and features built-in SnapBridge connectivity to enable seamless transfer of images to a mobile device. BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) technology enables communication between the camera and a smart device, and allows automatic transfer of 2MP images while shooting. SnapBridge requires a single configuration for up to five unique devices, and also works in conjunction with NIKON IMAGE SPACE for file backup and image sharing.

• Multi-CAM 1000 autofocus sensor

Benefiting from the high image quality, it is a suitable AF system that employs 11 different AF points to quickly acquire focus in a range of lighting conditions from -1 to +19 EV.

• Full HD Movie Recording

Full HD 1920 x 1080p movie recording supports multiple frame rates up to 60fps, as well as HD 720p, in the MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 format. During recording, full-time autofocus, with face detection and subject tracking capabilities, can be employed to ensure sharpness with a wide variety of subject types. In addition, a built-in monaural microphone can be used to record high-quality sound during movie recording.

• Body

The redesigned body is more compact, lighter and has almost all rear controls on the right side of the grip for easy one-handed control.
The 921-dot 3.0" rear LCD display offers a wide and bright medium for live image capture, menu navigation, or image playback.
The pentamirror optical viewfinder at eye level provides a natural means of composing still images.
The built-in pop-up flash can be used to provide additional illumination when working in low-light conditions. A hot shoe is also available to work with an optional external flash.
The included EN-EL14a lithium-ion battery provides approximately 1550 sockets per charge.

• AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR Lens

Included with the camera body is the standard AF-P DX NIKKOR 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR lens zoom, which provides an equivalent 35mm focal length range of 27-82.5mm. With an integrated stepper motor, this lens displays exceptionally smooth, fast and quiet autofocus performance to suit still images and video recording. The optical design incorporates a couple of aspherical elements and a super integrated coating is also offered to suppress lens reflection and ghosting. In addition, this lens also features image stabilization with Vibration Reduction to minimize the feeling of camera movement when shooting with the handheld.
