A single-lens solution for working in a wide variety of shooting situations, the NIKKOR Z 24-200mm f/4-6.3 VR from NIKON is an 8.3x all-in-one zoom that covers focal lengths from wide-angle to telephoto. An advanced optical design, using a number of aspherical and ED elements, is combined with ARNEO and Nano Crystal coatings to produce crisp, clear image quality with high contrast and accurate color reproduction to benefit work in various lighting conditions.

The impressive zoom range also benefits from image stabilization with Vibration Reduction, which minimizes the appearance of camera shake by up to 5 stops for sharper manual capture. A stepper motor provides fast, quiet and accurate autofocus performance along with full-time manual focus override to suit both still images and video applications. In addition, a programmable control ring can be configured for intuitive adjustment in a variety of camera and exposure settings.

• The all-in-one zoom covers wide-angle to telephoto fields of view and is designed for FX-format Z-mount mirrorless cameras, however, it can also be used with DX cameras where it will provide an equivalent focal length range of 36-300mm.

• Two aspherical elements and one aspherical ED element are used to reduce spherical aberrations and distortion for sharp images with accurate representation.

• Two extra-low dispersion elements greatly reduce color stripes and chromatic aberrations throughout the zoom range to produce greater clarity and color reproduction.

• Arneo and Nano Crystal layers are used to prevent ghosting, reflections and flashes in order to achieve better contrast and clarity when working in bright lighting and backlight conditions. The nanocrystal layer controls incidental light from a diagonal direction while the ARNEO layer controls incidental light from a vertical direction. A super-integrated coating is also included in various elements to help ensure accurate and consistent colors.

• The stepper motor offers surprisingly smooth, quiet and fast autofocus performance that is well suited to both still image and video applications. It is also possible to override full-time manual focus and an internal focus design, in which only the internal lens clusters move during focusing, is used to maintain the overall length of the lens during use and promote faster focusing speeds.

• Vibration reduction image stabilization minimizes the appearance of camera motion by up to 5 stops for sharper manual capture.

• The programmable control ring is set by default to adjust manual focus, but can also be used to control aperture or exposure compensation.

• The specialized electromagnetic aperture mechanism provides greater exposure control stability that is especially beneficial when working with fast continuous firing speeds.

• The seven-blade rounded diaphragm promotes a pleasant blur quality that benefits the use of shallow depth of field and selective focusing techniques.

• The dust- and moisture-resistant lens body benefits the use of the lens in adverse conditions.
