With a 24.5 MP BSI CMOS sensor and dual EXPEED 6 image processors, the Z 6II is characterised by higher buffer depth and faster continuous shooting speed, up to 14fps with single-point AF or 12fps shooting in other focus modes. NIKON Z6 II+ 24-70mm ensures you video recording in UHD 4K 30p, or up to FHD 120p for slow-motion output, and external recording gains 10-bit along with N-Log and HLG (HDR) support. The Z6 II+24-70mmNIKON sensor also adapts to work in a variety of lighting conditions, with a sensitivity of ISO 100-51200, and the reduction of 5-axis vibration in the body reduces the appearance of camera movement for sharper manual capture. In addition, the sensor also incorporates a 273-point phase detection AF system, which now supports eye detection AF in wide area AF modes and during movie recording, and allows focusing in low-light conditions up to -4.5 EV.

Balancing the images, the Z6 II+24-70mmNIKON retains its overall physical design, however, it has been updated with a new dual memory card slot interface to contain a CFexpress Type B card and a UHS-II SD card for more flexible storage. Both the 3.6 million-dot high-resolution OLED EVF and the 3.2" and 2.1 million dot rear tilting touchscreen LCD bring versatility to image composition and reproduction. Enhancing its initial efforts, NIKON has overhauled the Z 6 platform to deliver more speed, faster processing, and greater versatility without sacrificing the beloved qualities of the original camera.

1. Dual EXPEED 6 image processors offer higher buffer performance, a 14 fps faster continuous shooting speed, and noticeably reduced blackout times in the viewfinder.
2. The updated autofocus now includes Eye and Face Detection for both humans and animals in wide-area AF mode, for photo and video recording.
3. It is now possible to shoot with long exposure time for up to 900 seconds (15 minutes) without the need for an external remote control.
4. Dual memory card slots offer more flexible file storage capabilities; a CFexpress Type B slot and a UHS-II SD slot allow overflow saving, segregated and repetitive options.
5. The USB Type-C port allows on-camera charging or continuous power for on-the-fly charging or extended shooting times.
6. The direction of rotation of the focus ring on the lenses can be changed to suit the familiarity of each.
7. HDR mode (HLG) support when recording externally provides instant HDR-compatible video files for immediate playback. N-Log is also available for better control during post-production and sorting.
8. The future firmware update will add 4K 60p UHD recording, in addition to the current frame rate of 30p.
9. Eligible for an optional ProRes RAW upgrade, which allows the camera to output ProRes RAW footage to a Atomos compatible external recorder. This update provides greater color grading flexibility with the ProRes codec along with the ability to generate uncompressed 12-bit raw footage via HDMI. This update will be available in early 2021.
10. SnapBridge wireless connectivity can be used to update camera firmware, rather than relying on a memory card-based upgrade system.
11. Updated creative shooting modes include multiple exposure, 20 different image control settings, and time-lapse recording on the camera. There's also a focus shift mode to record up to 300 sequential frames with the focus position shifted between exposures for focus stacking applications.

• 24.5MM FX Package BSI CMOS Sensor And DUAL EXPEED 6 Processors

A 24.5MP BSI CMOS sensor is used for full shots, impressive low-light quality, and fast read speeds to benefit continuous shooting, movies, and interval recording. The sensor's backlit design offers remarkably clean high-sensitivity output to reduce noise when working at high ISO values, up to a native ISO 51200, as well as vivid and smooth quality at sensitivities as low as ISO 100. • 4K UHD video recording

Using sensor and processor attributes for more than just still images, the Z 6II is also a more than capable multimedia camera. 4K UHD video recording is possible with full pixel reading up to 30p and Full HD 1080p video recording also supports up to 120p for slow-motion playback. Video files can be saved to the camera's memory cards or as an uncompressed file to an optional external recorder via the HDMI output.

Advanced video features have been added with the Z 6II, including the N-Log range for capturing flat-looking images that maximize dynamic range and HLG (HDR) for recording HDR-ready images. Other additions are the ability to generate high-quality 10-bit data via HDMI and an electronic VR feature for smooth manual capture. Focus Peaking can be used to benefit manual focus control and a Zebra Stripes option is also available to help detect overexposed areas within the frame. Audio recording can be handled using the built-in stereo microphone or an optional external microphone can be added via the 3.5mm stereo jack for greater control over quality, and live monitoring is possible via the headphone jack.

• 273-point phase detection AF system

Located on the sensor is an array of 273 phase detection autofocus points covering 90% of the image area both vertically and horizontally. This provides fast and accurate focusing for both still images and video and with a wide coverage area, subject tracking will work up to near the edges of the frame. Hybrid AF is available for video, which will automatically switch between phase and contrast detection systems to provide smooth focus during shooting. • Vibration reduction

Vibration reduction with displacement of the 5-axis sensor in the body compensates for up to 5 stops of camera motion regardless of the Z-type lens being used. This system also works with adapted F-mount lenses, when using the optional FTZ adapter, where 3-axis stabilization is used.

1. A large 3.2" LCD screen and 2.1 million dots is available for the reproduction of bright, clear and vivid images and the taking of live images. The display has a tilting design to take advantage of working from high and low angles, and is also a touchscreen intuitive operation, navigation and configuration control.
2. There's a 3.6 million-point OLED electronic finder for comfortable viewing at eye level. It has a large magnification of 0.80x and uses NIKKOR optics to ensure a sharp and clear image. The finder also has a fluorine coating for easy cleaning.

BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) and Wi-Fi allow communication between the camera and a smart device and, in addition, the mobile device can shoot the shutter remotely and display a live image of the camera to allow remote work. In addition, SnapBridge can also be used as a simpler method to update the camera firmware.

NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/4 S lens

Included with the camera body is the standard NIKKOR Z 24-70mm f/4 S zoom lens, which covers a length range from wide-angle to portrait and features a constant maximum aperture of f/4. The optical design incorporates an aspherical element as well as a unique extra-low dispersion aspherical element; both help to greatly reduce a variety of aberrations and distortions to achieve high sharpness and accurate color reproduction. A nanocrystal coating is also used to control flares and ghosting to increase contrast in bright lighting conditions. Suitable for both photography and video applications, a stepper AF motor is also included for smooth, near-silent autofocus performance.
