Nikon Z7 II + TAMRON 50-400mm

When you buy NIKON Z7 II you get improved processing, greater versatility, but familiar in design, the NIKON Z 7II takes everything that was great about the original and further enhances its capabilities. With a high-resolution 45.7MP FX-format BSI CMOS sensor and dual EXPEED 6 image processors, the NIKON Z7 II camera is clearly aimed at the detail-obsessed image maker.

The sensor design of the NIKON Z7 II camera omits the optical low-pass filter for greater detail recording capability, and the sensor supports a native sensitivity range up to ISO 64 for rich, lush capture. Updated processing also produces faster speeds, including an accelerated 10 fps continuous shooting speed and a deeper buffer for working with moving subjects. Buying NIKON Z7 II allows you to capture UHD 4K 60p video is also supported, with the option to record externally in 10-bit using N-Log or HLG (HDR) modes). The sensor also incorporates a 493-point phase-detection AF system, which now supports eye-detection AF in wide-area AF modes and during movie recording, and allows focusing in low-light conditions down to -4.5 EV. In addition, 5-axis in-body vibration reduction helps reduce the appearance of camera shake with any lens mounted.

Balancing the images, the NIKON Z7 II camera retains its overall physical design, however, it has been updated with a new dual memory card slot interface to hold a CFexpress Type B card and a UHS-II SD card for more flexible storage. Both the high-resolution 3.6 million dot OLED EVF and 3.2" 2.1 million dot rear tilting touchscreen LCD bring versatility to image composition and playback, and SnapBridge wireless connectivity can be used for remote camera control, image sharing with a mobile device, and even over-the-air firmware updates.

  • Second generation Z

Improving on its initial efforts, NIKON has revised the Z 7 platform to offer more speed, faster processing and greater versatility without sacrificing the beloved qualities of the original camera.

  1. Dual EXPEED 6 image processors offer increased buffer performance, 10 fps faster continuous shooting speed and significantly reduced viewfinder blackout times.
  2. Updated autofocus now includes Eye and Face Detection for both humans and animals in wide-area AF mode for both photo and video recording.
  3. Long time exposure shooting for up to 900 seconds (15 minutes) is now possible without the need for an external remote control.
  4. Dual memory card slots offer more flexible file storage capabilities; a CFexpress Type B slot and a UHS-II SD slot allow for overflow, segregated and repeat save options.
  5. The USB Type-C port allows in-camera charging or continuous power for on-the-fly charging or extended shooting times.
  6. The direction of rotation of the focus ring on the lenses can be changed to suit one's familiarity.
  7. Support for HDR (HLG) mode when shooting externally provides instant HDR-compatible video files for immediate playback. N-Log is also available for better control during post-production and grading.
  8. Eligible for an optional ProRes RAW upgrade, which allows the camera to output ProRes RAW footage to a compatible external recorder Atomos. This upgrade provides greater color grading flexibility with the ProRes codec along with the ability to output uncompressed 12-bit raw footage via HDMI. This upgrade will be available in early 2021.
  9. SnapBridge wireless connectivity can be used to update the camera's firmware, rather than relying on a memory card-based update system.
  10. Updated creative shooting modes include multiple exposure, 20 different image control settings, and in-camera time-lapse recording. There is also a focus shift mode for recording up to 300 sequential frames with the focus position shifted between exposures for focus stacking applications.
  11. Compatible with the optional MB-N11 power battery pack for longer battery life and improved handling.
  • 45.7 MP FX-format BSI CMOS sensor and dual EXPEED 6 processors

A 45.7 MP BSI CMOS sensor is used for high-resolution shooting, impressive low-light quality and fast readout speeds to benefit continuous shooting, movies and interval recording. The sensor's back-illuminated design delivers remarkably clean high-sensitivity output and reduced noise when working at high ISO values, up to native ISO 25600, as well as vivid, smooth quality at sensitivities as low as ISO 64. The sensor design of the NIKON Z7 II camera also bypasses the conventional optical low-pass filter to achieve the highest sensor sharpness and resolution. The sensor benefits from dual EXPEED 6 image processors, which deliver high speed throughout the camera system, including the ability to shoot continuously at 10 fps for up to 50 consecutive frames.

  • 4K UHD video recording

Utilizing the sensor and processor attributes for more than just still images, the Z 7II is also a more than capable multimedia camera. UHD 4K video recording is possible up to 60p and Full HD 1080p video recording is also supported up to 120p for slow motion playback. Video files can be saved to the camera's memory cards or as an uncompressed file on an optional external recorder via the HDMI output.

Advanced video functionalities have been added with the Z 7II, including N-Log range for capturing flat aspect ratio images that maximize dynamic range and HLG (HDR) for recording HDR-ready images. When purchasing NIKON Z7 II you also receive other additions are the ability to generate high quality 10-bit data via HDMI and an electronic VR function for smooth manual capture. Focus Peaking can be used to benefit manual focus control and a Zebra Stripes option is also available to help detect overexposed areas within the frame. Audio recording can be handled using the built-in stereo microphone or an optional external microphone can be added via the 3.5mm stereo jack for greater control over quality, and live monitoring is possible via the headphone jack.

  • 493-point phase detection AF system

Located on the sensor is an array of 493 phase detection autofocus points covering 90% of the image area both vertically and horizontally. This provides fast and accurate focusing for both still images and video and with a wide coverage area, subject tracking will work right up to the edges of the frame. The camera 's hybrid AF NIKON Z7 II is available for video, which will automatically switch between phase detection and contrast detection systems to provide smooth focusing during shooting. In addition, the latest NIKKOR Z lenses are optimized for quiet operation.

  • Vibration reduction

Vibration reduction with 5-axis in-body sensor shift compensates for up to 5 stops of camera shake regardless of which Z-type lense is being used. This system also works with matched F-mount lenses, when using the optional FTZ adapter, where 3-axis stabilization is used.

  • Design of the camera NIKON Z7 II
  1. A large 3.2" 2.1 million dot LCD screen is available for bright, clear and vivid image reproduction and live image acquisition. The screen has a tiltable design to take advantage of working from high and low angles, and is also an intuitive touch screen operation, navigation and configuration control.
  2. There is a 3.6 million dot OLED electronic finder for comfortable viewing at eye level. It has a high magnification of 0.80x and uses NIKKOR optics to ensure a sharp, clear image. The finder also has a fluorine coating for easy cleaning.
  3. The Z 7II's superior panel is configured with a dot-matrix OLED. This low-power display provides quick access to important camera settings.
  4. Configured with a CFexpress Type B / XQD memory card slot and a UHS-II SD card slot, flexible file storage is possible with the option of using repetitive, overflow or segregated storage methods.
  5. A rugged magnesium alloy chassis is dust and weather resistant to benefit working in harsh climates and inclement conditions.
  6. The ergonomic grip and overall form factor are designed to benefit handling over extended periods of time and are further accentuated by a non-slip material and joystick for seamless setup and focus point selection.
  7. Built-in SnapBridge connectivity to enable seamless transfer of low-resolution images as well as remote shooting capabilities. BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) and Wi-Fi enable communication between the camera and a smart device, and in addition, the mobile device can remotely trigger the shutter and display a live image from the camera to enable remote working. In addition, SnapBridge can also be used as a simpler method to update the camera's firmware.
