A high-quality creative partner
A reliable tool for your creativity, the NIKON Z5 II improves on its predecessor with faster processing speed, subject recognition AF and low-light performance. With a new color preset button, ultra-bright viewfinder and easy sharing options, the camera offers an extra step for creators looking for full-frame images.
24.5 MP FX sensor and EXPEED 7 image processor
The 24.5 MP, full-frame FX-format BSI CMOS sensor combines with an EXPEED 7 image processor to deliver a versatile combination of enhanced sensitivity, nuanced image quality, fast autofocus with AI, and high-resolution continuous shooting at up to 30 fps. At native settings, the sensitivity range of ISO 100-64000 enables work in a wide range of lighting conditions and can be extended to ISO 50-204800 for extreme lighting conditions. The combination of resolution and sensor size also contributes to sharp image quality and smooth color transitions with reduced noise throughout the sensitivity range.
Autofocus you can rely on
Thanks to the Z9's legacy algorithms and deep learning technology, including sophisticated Subject Detection for nine different types, the Z5 II can recognize a variety of subjects, from humans to animals, airplanes and bicycles. It also includes the popular Bird Detection mode. Using Auto Area AF, these subjects will be automatically detected, focused and tracked to ensure sharp focus as they move through the frame.
4K UHD video recording
Capable of recording more than just photos, the Z5 II has also enhanced its video capture capabilities, now supporting 4K UHD video recording at up to 60 fps and Full HD recording at up to 120 fps, plus recording time limits of up to two hours, video timer, built-in electronic Vibration Reduction and the ability to save video files to the built-in memory cards or to an optional external recorder via the HDMI output. It is also possible to record time-lapse in-camera, with the ability to produce a finished 4K UHD video file directly from the camera.
Vibration reduction by sensor change
The body incorporates a Vibration Reduction (VR) mechanism with 5-axis sensor shift that compensates up to five stabilization steps, regardless of the lense used. With compatible lenses, up to 7.5 steps of stabilization can be achieved. In addition, to enhance video recording, Electronic VR allows the footage to be stabilized and adapted to handheld recording.
Color control for creators
Nikon has added an Image Control button on the superior side of the Z5 II to access its 31 built-in presets, even in automatic mode. Color presets can now be overlaid on the rear LCD screen, allowing you to view color changes as you create. Creation recipes created by other photographers from NIKON are available via NIKON Imaging Cloud and can be downloaded and integrated along with the presets.
Body design and connectivity
A large 3.2" 2.1 million pixel LCD screen doubles the brightness for crisp, vivid image reproduction and live shooting. Vari-angle touchscreen design offers more intuitive operation, navigation and setup control.
It has an ultra-bright 3.69 million-dot electronic viewfinder for comfortable viewing at eye level.
Dual SD memory card slots support UHS-II protocol to save photo and video files quickly and efficiently.
The headphone jack also functions as a terminal for the optional MC-DC3 remote trigger cable from NIKON, and the USB-C terminal allows the camera to be charged and powered by USB. A micro-HDMI port allows external recording and live viewing.
Built-in SnapBridge connectivity enables seamless transfer of low-resolution images as well as remote shooting. BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) and Wi-Fi enable communication between the camera and a smart device. In addition, the mobile device can remotely trigger the shutter and display a live image from the camera for remote working.
The included EN-EL15c rechargeable lithium-ion battery provides approximately 380 shots per charge and in-camera charging via USB is supported, even when the camera is in use.

All info. NIKON Z CAMERAS
Lense from classic head-and-shoulders shots to environmental portraits, this 85mm f/1.8 full-frame mirrorless portrait lens lense lets you portray subjects with stunning clarity. Its advanced optical performance opens the door to new possibilities for detail and nuance, surpassing even the f/1.4 fixed lenses that have preceded it.
Intimate settings or large events. Prepared or surprise shots. This bright 85mm f/1.8 portrait lens lense provides excellent agility. The wide Z mount of NIKON allows for excellent detail throughout the frame, even when shooting in available light. Focusing is fast, and the NIKON Z camera can lock focus on the subject's eye, whether he or she is alone or just another face in a crowd.
True depth
The bokeh effect looks natural, beautiful and smoothly graduated to the edges of the frame. The focus point is always rendered sharply and highlights are reproduced as soft spots.
Fine details
Skin tones are natural and edge-to-edge sharpness is excellent, even when shooting with the aperture wide open. A minimum focusing distance of only 0.80 m allows you to control the frame, from very close range to infinity.
Back-illuminated beauty
No matter the situation, NIKON 's anti-reflective nano-crystal coating reduces ghosting and flare for greater image clarity. All components of a scene are reproduced perfectly, even in backlit conditions.
Powered by characterization
Capture video footage with beautiful depth of field. Whether it's an emotional close-up or a night scene where bokeh abounds, this 85mm lense lets you isolate subjects to perfection. The near-silent AF lets you make even the quietest moment shine. The quiet control ring allows you to focus with total precision. Focus breathing, which is the change in effective focal length when focusing at different distances, virtually disappears.
Instinctive control
Unrestricted flow. The wide, knurled control ring makes intuitive and accurate operation possible. It can be used for silent aperture control or exposure compensation, as well as a focus ring when shooting in manual focus.
Wherever you go
shoot in the rain or when opening champagne! All moving parts of the lense body are sealed to protect it from dust and water drops.
