The silver lense Summilux-M 50mm f/1.4 from LEICA, which combines a timeless vintage look with an optical redesign, is a fast, normal-length lense for M-mount cameras. It is an ideal choice for portraits and creates a smooth, flattering bokeh effect when used at wider apertures, as well as sharp, detailed images when the aperture is closed down. Like previous Summilux lenses, this 50 mm f/1.4 lens is distinguished by its impressive maximum aperture of f/1.4, which allows it to work reliably in low-light scenes.
Redesigning a classic
Designed to replicate the unique bokeh effect produced from the original version of this lense launched in 1959, this modernized version incorporates the latest manufacturing techniques, glass elements and lens coatings to ensure outstanding optical performance. This lense marks the fifth addition to the LEICA Classic line and is the first in the brand's new packaging design.
Excellent build quality
Brass construction with a chrome-plated surface finish gives the lens a robust design and attractive appearance.
Made in Germany, this fixed lense is handcrafted with technical precision.
