A bright wide angle with consistent performance throughout the aperture range, the new LEICA 28mm f2 Summicron Asph M lens has been revamped

Ideal for environmental reporting and photography in a variety of working conditions. Aside from the wide perspective, this 28mm f2 is also characterized by a sophisticated nine-element design in six groups, incorporating a single aspherical element to control spherical distortions and aberrations throughout the focus ranges and aperture.

The optical design further contributes to refined handling of reflection in the lens and ghosting effect, and maintains a high degree of sharpness even when working at f/2. Very compact size, smooth manual focus control and bright maximum aperture make this a very versatile option for M system photographers.

An aspherical element is incorporated into the sophisticated optical design to reduce spherical aberrations and almost all distortions for greater sharpness and clarity. This design also contributes to a marked reduction in reflections and ghosting in strong lighting scenarios, and edge-to-edge sharpness is maintained throughout the aperture range.

F 2 gives maximum aperture benefits for working in difficult lighting conditions.

Manual focus design offers a minimum focusing distance of 5.85 CM with a maximum magnification ratio of 1:22.

A sunshade is an all-metal threaded accessory is included, as well as a threaded protection ring for use when the lens visor is not connected. In addition, metal lens caps are also included.
