The LEICA SUMMILUX 21mm f/1.4 ASPH lens is the first and only small format 21mm lens with this brightness. The exceptional image quality for its shallow depth of field and compact dimensions make the SUMMILUX 21mm f/1.4 ASPH LEICA and the SUMMILUX-M 24mm f/1.4 ASPH LEICA particularly versatile for professional photography.

At maximum aperture, the depth of field is extremely small. As a result, in close-ups the main subject can be dissociated from the background, enhancing the creativity and expressiveness of the photograph. When diaphragm to intermediate values the focus field is so large that the entire scene can be kept in focus. Thanks to the floating element, high resolution is maintained even in the foreground. Vignetting and distortion correction is excellent for lenses of this brightness. The patented rectangular sunshade fits with the VIII series filters.
