The LEICA Summicron SL 35mm f2 lens, is incorporated into the planned family of fixed optics for the Leia SL, maximum quality and luminosity to enjoy a system that grows more and more every day and that without a doubt is a worldwide reference of full frame without mirror
A favored and versatile focal length combined with an optically refined design, the APO-Summicron-SL 35mm f/2 ASPH LEICA . is a first general wide-angle designed for full-frame L-mount mirrorless cameras. The bright f/2 maximum aperture strikes a balance between speed, weight, and overall size, and offers a portable form factor along with the ability to excel in available light conditions. The apochromatic optical design uses anomalous partial dispersion glass to suppress color stripes and chromatic aberrations for greater clarity and color accuracy, and five aspherical elements are also presented to reduce spherical aberrations to improve sharpness. Multi-layer coatings have also been applied to limit flare and ghosting to increase contrast when working in bright lighting conditions. Complementing the optics is a dual-sync stepper motor, which offers fast and quiet autofocus performance to suit both still images and video applications. In addition, an AquaDura coating has been applied to the exposed elements and seals have been incorporated into the lens design to benefit work in adverse environmental conditions.
