An essential lens for content creators, vloggers and live streamers, the NIKON NIKKOR Z DX 12-28mm f/3.5-5.6 PZ VR is a versatile ultra-wide-angle zoom that features a compact design, consistent Power Zoom control and flexible focal length range.

Versatile ultra-wide-angle zoom

Perfect for one-person productions, day-to-day vlogs, and other styles of vlogging and content creation, this ultra-wide-angle zoom has a very useful and versatile focal length range that helps you stay in frame while showing your surroundings.
The 12mm end of the zoom range is ideal for immersive, wide-field views, as well as shooting yourself within the scene at arm's length.
The 28mm end, while still wide, allows you to enter the scene for a more selective view while retaining the context of the scene.
Created for use in APS-C/DX format cameras, this lens has an equivalent focal length range of 18-42mm.
Ultra-low dispersion and aspherical elements contribute to high sharpness and well-controlled distortion throughout the zoom range.

Motorized operation and zoom

The first Power Zoom lens for NIKON Z mirrorless cameras, this lens uses an internal linear motor to switch between focal lengths, rather than a conventional ring or mechanical method to adjust the zoom.
The motorized zoom can be controlled using the dedicated ring on the body or via the magnifying buttons on selected NIKON Z cameras.
In addition, Power Zoom can also be controlled via the optional ML-L7 Bluetooth remote, from the SnapBridge app, or when using NX Tether software and optional MC-N10 remote grip.
Compared to mechanical zoom methods, Power Zoom offers consistent and repeatable zoom speeds, along with quiet, highly accurate results, for continuity between shots.
Choose from 11 different Power Zoom speeds to suit your subject needs and shooting style.
