The TAMRON 18-300mm F3.5-6.3 lens covers a wide zoom range of approximately 27mm to 450mm (full-frame equivalent focal length). It is the world's first APS-C mirrorless camera zoom lens with a zoom ratio of 16.6x, and offers all the benefits of a versatile zoom lens giving the user numerous photographic possibilities. Its AF transmission system uses TAMRON's VXD (Voice-coil eXtreme-torque Drive) linear motor focusing mechanism for superior noise reduction and agile performance; the lens includes special elements to deliver high-resolution performance and provide high image quality that positions it among the best off-road zoom lenses.

With a MOD (minimum focusing distance) of 0.15m at its widest end and a maximum magnification ratio of 1:2, this lens performs amazingly well when shooting at nearby objects. It is equipped with the VC (vibration compensation) mechanism patented by TAMRON which allows stable photographs even at extreme focal lengths. And it features a unified filter size of 67mm, just like other lenses TAMRON for mirrorless cameras.

The new zoom is protected by its moisture-resistant construction and by a fluorine coating designed for outdoor shots under adverse weather conditions. Its 67mm filter size is identical to TAMRON 's standard 17-70mm F/2.8 Di III-A VC RXD (model B070) fast-aperture zoom lens for APS-C mount mirrorless SONY E cameras, as well as almost all TAMRON lenses in the mirrorless camera series, that adapt perfectly to APS-C cameras. Compatible with many of the features SONY incorporates into its cameras, including Fast Hybrid AF and Eye AF, the lens is packed with features that allow you to enjoy a comfortable shooting experience.
