With updated video capabilities and a refined design, the Lumix GH5 II PANASONIC provides a professional-quality imaging platform for photographers who demand versatile video and stills capabilities in a single compact camera. With a 20.3MP Live MOS sensor with AR coating, the camera records DCI and UHD 4K with the full sensor area and can output 10-bit 4:2:0 internally up to 60p, or 4:2:2 at 30p. The GH5 II offers unlimited video recording for less downtime during filming, and the camera ships with V-Log L pre-installed for multi-camera recording, making it easy to match the color tone to footage recorded by other VariCam series cameras. The included DMW-BLK22 battery provides approximately 410 shots per charge when using the rear monitor or electronic viewfinder, and the high-capacity battery can be quickly charged with the included USB 3.1 Type-C cable. You can also supply continuous power to the camera while taking photos and videos via the included USB cable.

A rear 3" dot 1.84m TFT LCD monitor provides flexible framing, high visibility and vivid colors to allow viewing from a variety of angles. An updated 5-axis sensor stabilization system works with Lumix OIS lenses to activate Dual IS 2 for effective vibration correction. Previously limited to 5 stops of vibration reduction, this now means it can compensate for up to 6.5 stops of shutter speed. A depth-from-blur autofocus system benefits still image and video recording modes, ensuring fast and accurate focusing. The GH5 II features face, eye, head, body and human animal recognition. Deep learning technology detects the eye and face about twice as fast as the GH5, allowing you to focus on the composition of your photos and videos. Designed for today's creators and audiences, the easy-to-use Lumix Sync app for smartphones and tablets provides high-quality live streaming with minimal equipment. Live streaming via a router is also available with Lumix Network Setting Softwa re. Whether indoors or outdoors, only the camera and a smartphone are required to reach an audience, making the GH5 II an ideal camera for electronic newsgathering, travel, events, conferences and live trading applications.

• 20.3MP Live MOS digital sensor with AR coating and Venus motor

Featuring a 20.3MP live digital MOS sensor with a newly developed AR coating, the GH5 II features an evolved Venus Engine image processor. These updates eliminate ghosting and flare in backlit scenes, offer a 25% increase in dynamic range, and improve color gradation and reproduction. Multipixel Luminance Generation technology maximizes sharpness and faithfully reproduces brightly lit scenes. It offers excellent three-dimensional color control and precise noise reduction techniques to shoot at sensitivities up to ISO 25600. It also allows shooting speeds of up to 12fps with AF-S or manual focus modes.

• 4K video recording

The GH5 II features outstanding video performance for professional videography and is capable of recording unlimited videos in various settings. It can record DCI and UHD 4K 60p 4:2:0 10-bit and simultaneously output 10-bit 4:2:2 via HDMI during 4K 60p 4:2:0 10-bit internal recording. There is an HDMI port on the camera for high-quality output for use with external monitors and recorders. The camera also offers high bitrate recording for highly detailed images without compression artifacts.

For more advanced users, various image styles provide two types of Cinelike gamma presets in the photo style. With these modes, warm skin tones or delicate shades of light and shadow can be reproduced without color gradation on V-Log footage. The Cinelike D2 setting prioritizes dynamic range, while Cinelike V2 prioritizes contrast. L. Monochrome S and L. Classic Neo have also been added, and all these modes can be used for anamorphic video recording.

The GH5 II is designed to be an expandable system, with multiple options available to help enhance video recording capabilities. Examples of this are an optional XLR microphone adapter that provides XLR inputs and physical controls via a hot shoe connection. Users can also use standard microphones and headphones through the 3.5mm input and output jacks.

• Wireless and wired streaming 

Designed for ENG, travel, events, conferencing and live trading applications, the easy-to-use Lumix Sync app provides high-quality live streaming with minimal equipment. Whether indoors or outdoors, only the camera and a smartphone are required. Live streaming via a router is also available with Lumix network configuration software. In addition, wired IP USB-LAN live streaming will be compatible with a future firmware update.

• 225-area depth autofocus system from blur

With a high-speed, high-precision autofocus system, the GH5 II incorporates advanced deep learning technology to detect specific subjects, including fast-moving humans and animals. Enhanced tracking performance quickly recognizes the face and eyes of moving subjects and the human body from a background of moving subjects. The camera keeps tracking the person even if they move quickly, turn their back to the camera, tilt their head, or move away. This contrast-detection type focusing method benefits still image and video recording modes, as well as subject tracking applications in which color, size, and motion vectors are used to intelligently lock moving subjects and ensure accurate focusing. Depth-from-Defocus technology offers ultra-fast calculation of spatial information, allowing you to instantly and accurately capture your shots.

• Dual I.S. 2

Helping to achieve maximum sharpness when shooting on the handheld, a Dual I.S. 2 combines the camera's sensor-shift image stabilization technology with lens-based image stabilization to compensate for a wide range of motion types and generate sharper, clearer images. Dual I.S. 2 requires the use of O.I.S. compatible Lumix lenses, and this updated stabilization system allows the GH5 Mark II to compensate for 6.5 stops of camera shake.

• Body design

A large OLED Live View Finder viewfinder has an impressive 3.68m dot resolution and 0.76x magnification for eye-level composition.

A larger medium for image composition and reproduction, the 3" 1.84m dot rear TFT LCD monitor has a free-angle, tilting and swivel design to allow viewing from a variety of angles. It is also a touchscreen, allowing intuitive viewing navigation control and menu settings.

Dual UHS-II SD card slots provide settings such as relay recording to automatically switch cards when one is full; Backup recording, which records the same data on both cards simultaneously; and Assignment Recording, which allows you to save certain files to each card for easier organization.

Constructed of magnesium alloy with die-cast front and rear frames, the GH5 II features a durable design that also incorporates extensive sealing on each gasket, dial, and button to make it splash- and dustproof, as well as freeze-proof at 14°F.

• 6K and 4K PHOTO

For cases where a very fast frame rate is needed to capture the best moment, 4K PHOTO allows you to record 8MP stills at 30 or 60fps, and 6K PHOTO provides 18MP stills at a 30fps shooting speed. Both photography modes feature unlimited recording time and a pre-burst mode records images one second before and one second after pressing the shutter button, giving you up to 60 frames to choose from.

• Other camera features

A mechanical focal plane shutter allows a maximum fast shutter speed of 1/8000 sec, as well as a maximum flash sync speed of 1/250 sec. An electronic shutter function also boasts a maximum shutter speed of 1/16,000 sec. To allow you to work better in bright conditions and with wider aperture settings.

Depending on the lens in use, the included DMW-BLK22 battery provides approximately 410 shots per charge when using the rear monitor or electronic viewfinder.

A trio of new photo-style modes include L. Classic Neo for a film-like effect with a soft, nostalgic feel, L. Monochrome S for black-and-white portraits with a smooth appearance, Cinelike D2 that prioritizes dynamic range, and Cinelike V2 for prioritizing contrast.

Pre-installed V-Log L for multi-camera recording and editing makes it easy to match the color tone to footage recorded by other cameras in the VariCam series.

Panasonic 12-60mm f3.5-5.6 lens

The lens PANASONIC 12-60mm f3.5-5.6  ASPH. POWER OIS is a versatile standard zoom lens for the Micro Four Thirds system. Providing a focal range of 24-120mm in terms of 35mm, the 12-60mm lens is both compact and lightweight. It combines 11 lenses in 9 groups, including three aspherical lenses and an ED lens, and features seven blades that give the aperture a rounded shape.

The lens PANASONIC 12-60mm f3.5-5.6  ASPH. POWER OIS is a small and lightweight standard zoom lens that covers a versatile range of 35mm focal length equivalent to 24-120mm. When set to 12 mm, it measures 7.1 cm in length. Focused outwards for 64mm adjustment, then it measures 10.5cms. An additional 3 cm is absorbed by the petal-shaped sunshade supplied, which helps prevent lens flare and also protects the front element from scratches and finger marks. The weight is a mere 210g, thanks to the mostly high-grade plastic construction, the lens is resistant to sealing, and commendable is not a metal lens mount.
