9mm PANASONIC lens

This new lens features an exceptionally short focusing distance of 0.095m at 0.25x magnification (equivalent to a 35mm camera at 0.5x magnification). This allows the photographed object to be highlighted with a large image field. LUMIX's new H-X09 lens offers high descriptive performance and smooth bokeh, exceeding demanding LEICA standards. This new model is aimed at professionals and qualified creators, both for photography and video.

The lens is composed of 12 elements in 9 groups, including 2 aspherical lenses, 2 ED (Extra-Low Dispersion) lenses and 1 UHR (Ultra High Refractive Index) lens, which suppress both axial and magnification chromatic aberration. Astigmatism is also corrected with these aspherical lenses, offering high resolution. In addition, a UHR lens achieves consistent image quality, while helping to reduce the size of the lens unit.

The DG SUMMILUX 9mm F1.7 LEICA runs smoothly and quietly thanks to the camera's high-speed, high-precision contrast AF system with sensor actuation at up to 240fps.

For non-linear adjustment, the focus is shifted according to the rotation speed of the focus ring, while for linear adjustment, the focus is shifted according to the designated configuration according to the rotation of the focus ring. Sensitivity (focusing distance depending on rotation settings) can be selected from 90 to 360 degrees1 at 30-degree intervals to achieve the focus you want.

The new LUMIX lens also excels at movie recording, with a mechanism that suppresses focus breathing, which was a very common problem with interchangeable lenses designed for photography. Together with a micro-step aperture control for smooth exposure change, professional-quality videos can be recorded.

With its compact size and a very light weight of approximately 130 grams, the new H-X09 offers high image quality in the Micro Four Thirds system. The dust- and splash-resistant design2 allows the lens to be used in harsh conditions, even at -10°C. The diameter of the filter is 55 mm, with a circular opening diaphragm of 7 sheets.
