Binoculars PENTAX Papilio II

The compact and lightweight Papilio II U-Series binoculars combine aspherical optics and BAK4 Porro prisms to deliver edge-to-edge image sharpness with an apparent viewing angle of 51°. The optical elements are also fully multilayer to provide high light transmission. With 8.5x magnification and 21mm lenses, you get noticeable magnification, negligible image instability due to shaky hands, and a compact form factor. You can easily detect your targets with a wide 6° angular field of view and focus them quickly with a central focus wheel. In addition to observing distant scenes, birds and animals, the minimum focus of 20" allows you to study in detail nearby objects such as butterflies, animal footprints, marks or landscape features. To reduce image vibration while observing distant objects or during prolonged observations, you can connect the binoculars to a tripod via an integrated 1/4"-20 plug. The binoculars also feature a 2.5 mm exit pupil, a 15 mm ocular relief, and diopter and interpupillary distance adjustments.

The binoculars are very compact, lightweight and feature a one-piece frame that houses the lenses, allowing for synchronized interpupillary adjustment. To accommodate eyeglass wearers, binoculars offer twisted rubber eyepieces. Also included are a carrying case, neck strap and eyepiece covers.
