The compact and lightweight black UP 8-16x21 U-Series binoculars combine aspherical optics and BAK4 Porro prisms to deliver edge-to-edge image sharpness with a wide viewing angle. The optical elements are also fully multilayer to provide high light transmission. With an 8-16x magnification range and 21mm lenses, you get a wide zoom range and compact form factor. You can easily spot your targets with a 5° angular field of view at 8x magnification and zoom in quickly with optical zoom. To reduce image jitter with high zoom factors or for extended observations, you can connect the binoculars to a tripod via an integrated 1/4"-20 plug. In addition to observing distant scenes, birds and animals, the minimum focus of 9.9' allows you to study in detail nearby objects such as animal footprints, marks or landscape features. The binoculars also feature an exit pupil range of 2.6-1.3mm, an eye relief range of 14-11mm, an interpupillary and a diopter adjustment.

The binoculars are very compact, lightweight and feature a one-piece frame that houses the lenses, allowing for synchronized interpupillary adjustment. To accommodate eyeglass wearers, binoculars offer sliding rubber eyecups. Also included are a carrying case, neck strap and eyepiece covers.
