Smart features and better shots

Our innovative AI processing unit recognises people, while the Fast Hybrid Autofocus system follows the subject of the recording with precise focus at all times. The electronic variable ND filter allows you to get the best exposure in your shots in a variety of lighting conditions. If you prefer, the automatic ND function will set the optimal exposure for the shot.

Reliable streaming and easy connectivity for TV streaming

With built-in 2.4GHz and 5GHz* Wi-Fi, along with the C3 Portal (paid) or XDCAM Pocket apps, you can stream content from the camera with simplicity and the highest quality. Remote operation via our Monitor & Control app** allows you to check angles and monitor the shot from your smartphone or tablet. The Z200 also has a built-in 12G-SDI connection with a bandwidth four times that of a single-cable 3G-SDI, TC input and output, and broadcast-compatible XAVC (MXF)*** codec.

Multiple recording options

The Z200 offers you a variety of recording formats to suit the requirements of your projects. XAVC (MXF)* mode gives you enhanced support for MXF-based TV broadcast workflows. XAVC S-I mode gives you the highest quality recording, with 4:2:2 4K (QFHD) 10-bit resolution and the H.264 Intra-Frame codec, which simplifies post-production. XAVC HS-L (H.265) and XAVC S-L (H.264) mode give you the option to record in 4:2:2 or 4:2:0 with Long GOP, for longer recording times and high file saving efficiency. XAVC HS Proxy mode allows you to record at up to 16 Mbps simultaneously with higher bitrate formats and use the smaller proxy files for editing and preview tasks prior to the final production format.

Film and broadcast design

Give your shots a professional film production and broadcast design in a simple way. Use the S-Cinetone, ITU709, 709tone, HLG Live, HLG Mild, and HLG Natural presets, then adjust the black, matrix, and other parameters to your liking. Easily process color so that your footage matches that of other SONY and Cinema Line cameras.
